I had a good mail day today! I won a blog drawing for a cute stitchery kit over at
My Yellow Farmhouse and my prize arrived today!

Karen included some yummy candy (and I remembered to take a picture
before eating it lol!) and a cute little Annie notepad and it all came wrapped up so cute...even the bubble wrap matched! Thank you so much Karen!!

And to to top it off my
Cath Kidston Spring Catalog finally arrived! Here's a peek and you can go
here to see more and
here to order your own. I want it all!!!

So I just realized (as I was looking with longing at these pictures) that I missed the deadline for posting the ironing board picture, over at
Libby's. Well here's what I wished it looked like :)

Edit: It looks like I didn't miss it, I've got another hour!! so here it is:

Janine came over to work on our Country Loft BOM on Monday and I asked her to bring some of her quilt tops and of course I took pictures :) She just started quilting last May but you'd never know it by how fast and how well she cranks these babies out...just a natural I guess :) This one is from a Lakehouse kit she picked up at Road to California:

This is made from a jelly roll of Fresh Air by Moda using the Cozy quilt pattern pinwheel pirouette

And here is another heart quilt inspired by
Sharon and
this tutorial
And the high point of my week...and also the reason I didn't get much of my own sewing done, was when my daughter told me she wanted to make a quilt top (a small one) but didn't want to spend her $$ on fabric!! Like I didn't practically throw her in the car to go buy her some fabric LOL!!! She picked a pattern out of this book:

called Everyday table topper and used the Mother Goose charm pack by Moda.

She had made one with me once before but this was her project all the way!! The only down side was that I couldn't sew all day!! But that can easily be fixed with a second sewing machine :)

Is anyone doing the
quiltathon? I just read about this and it sounds fun!!! I'm going to go check it out and decide if it's something I can do by tomorrow!!! Have a great weekend everyone :)

Oh I know! As soon as my daughter said she wanted to learn to quilt, I was ON it! I was handing her patterns and fabric and needles... she never knew what hit her, lol!
I am going to try to do the Quiltathon too. It looks like fun!
Woo hoo! Thanks for playing along. I must say I'm not familiar with that catalog . . . but I'm getting on the mailing list right away *s*
What a great prize you won. Congrats! What a sweet picture of your daughter sewing, and what wonderful quilting memories the two of you will have. Great quilts your friend made.
Yummy!! Those kitchen towels, potholders and etc would be perfect in my kitchen...I want double of it all!

Lots of goodies to look at here. Your daughter is doing a wonderful job on her quilt. I couldn't get my daughter interested enough to keep on it. I'd say you should definitely get another machine - you're going to need it!
I like your use of your jelly rolls! Very pretty finish. Looks like you have been very productive! I am doing the quilt marathon on Monday...
That's quite a nice bunch of goodies that you won!
Boy, lucky you to get a prize from Ms. Farmhouse herself! Love your quilts -- you've been busy!
Congrats Tammy on your win. .It's about time you won something huh?? LOL!!
Your daughter is one cutie pie for sure. I know you must be so happy that she wanted to quilt. I like her choice in fabric and pattern.
Janine is knockin em down isn't she?? Love her projects, especially that heart one. LOL
What a nice prize to win, congrats to you. I'm going to check out that catalog, looks like they have some yummy stuff. It's hard to sew when daughters are showing interest. I gave my daughter my old old machine and she loves it.
Love all the quilts too.
Absolutely fantabulous post!!! Thanks for sharing!
The prize you won is great!
My daughters don't sew with me, but they do help me lay quilts out and tell me which blocks to move around. They both show and interest in sewing, but not quilting. However, they love every quilt I make, so that's fine with me.
I have done the quiltathon this weekend. I got a lot done.
Lovely prize! Give aways are so much fun! Enjoy the time with your daughter!
Holy Smokes what a great post. So much eye candy. Love it all. Fun stuff in the mail. The new catalog! I'm wanting all that stuff. And the great quilts - fab.
Love that mother goose too! I'll have to go back and look more at all of your pics. Fun stuff.
You lucky ducky!! My daughters would love to sew with me if they:
1. Lived closer
2. Didn't work!
I love reading your blog and all the pictures!! TFS
