I think the flub up fairy has come to live with me...uninvited might I add. Remember the goofs I showed last post? Well I've almost outdone myself with this one. Almost. But that's for another post :) Sarah has been bugging me to quilt her table topper so Tuesday, after the kid's left with their dad for an overnight ski trip, I finally got some time and got busy. Last night I just had some stippling left on the corners so I quickly finished it up so it would be done when she got back. Looks o.k. from this side...Apparently I went a little too quick grrrrr. I'm tempted to just fold a square in half for a label and stick it there, we'll see.
I did manage to finish quilting a couple of other table toppers this week without totally screwing them up :) I started to cut another top and then took a look at my flimsy pile and decided I really needed to finish at least a couple table toppers before I started anymore piecing projects. I'm taking a machine quilting class at the end of April so I'm putting off some of my bigger projects till then.
I did do a few piecing projects mainly to use up swell scraps.I made a deal with myself that I had to do something with some of my Sanctuary fabric before I can buy any Simplicity, and I really want Simplicity :)This is the March Clothesline Club project that I'm doing through the fatquartershop.
And this is the March Stars around the Garden bom's from the Country Loft.
Oh and before I forget I got tagged by Amanda over at Busy little quilter for the 7 random things that I did here, so I hope it's not cheating just to link to last month's but I know I can't come up with 7 more things so soon :) Thanks for tagging me Amanda :) I think most everyone has been tagged, except maybe Wendy who has a new blog that is absolutely adorable so Wendy I'm tagging you and the rest of you go check out her blog! If anyone else hasn't been tagged consider yourself tagged and let me know so I can come read it :) Have a great weekend! I hope everyone gets lots of time to sew!

Lot's of Swell!
Hopefully no one's sick of Swell yet, I don't think I can ever get enough! And I haven't even opened my fat quarter bundle yet...yes I am infatuated lol!!
I thought I was going to quilt all day today...but between getting new tires on the car and taking my son to work and picking him up and then a mother/daughter African jewelry party tonight I'm thinking I'll be lucky if I get any quilting in at all! I did get a lot of quilting in Friday and Saturday though so I'm not complaining. Anyway this is just a quick post because when I looked at my calendar I realized this is a really busy week and this may be my only chance to blog! I finished my Swell top:
this pattern is called Jellystone Park and it goes together sooo fast! I like it in person but I'm not liking how the border looks in the photo...oh well :)
Now I'm still struggling with what to do with my table topper borders--what do you think?
Here are a couple of reasons that I should never sew or cut late at night. I caught up to February in my Country Loft block of the month...but my center got pretty wonky on that bottom right one. Definitely a redo :( It looks way worse in person.
And then I had 10 leftover blocks from Swell and decided to cut them up and make something...so far so good
NO!!!
That's what I said as I tried to stop my hand from finishing that deadly second cut lol!! What was I thinking? Obviously I was not thinking!
This was not my stupidest mistake ever though, nope I've made lots and lots of stupid mistakes lol! I'll save my worst ever for another post :) And it's a doozy lemme tell ya!!
O.k. I'm going to try and work on this month's clothesline club before it's time to start driving again!

Pin Cushions and Posh
I couldn't find a deadline posted for the pin cushion challenge at Blueberry Lane so I'm hoping I'm on time :) If you haven't joined in yet hop on over and check out the cute book she's giving away.
And then check out some of the pincushions people have been posting...wow some really cute stuff out there in blogland...I'm feeling needy right now lol...I need that book, I really need to add some more pin cushions to this sad little collection--don't you all agree???
I went to Rosie's for just a wee little teensy tiny bit more of the ME fabric and was sucked in by this new line by Moda:It's so much prettier than I could tell from the pictures I'd seen online!
So I'm hoping to get a bunch of sewing done in the next week. Saturday is National Quilt Day and I'm planning on observing it by....quilting...clever of me, huh? :) Check out what's going on over at Pat Sloane's blog--looks like fun!!!
And then Tuesday is the next Quiltathon!!! Go here to Judy's blog and check it out if you haven't already! Thank you Amanda for helping me get this button to work!!You should see the eye rolling I've been getting over here from certain teenagers when I tried to share my excitement about 2 whole days doing nothing but quilting--all they heard was you're gonna have to feed yourselves LOL!!!
I'm hoping to finish up my Swell quilt top and table topper and make some progress on my ME quilt top and table runner/wall hangingand make about 10 more blocks to add to Tag Sale. We'll see...best laid plans and all that...Have a great weekend!

Quiltathon, quilt run and what's on your design wall?
Saturday I decided to participate in the quiltathon over here. Since I learned of it late, I didn't actually get the button on my blog, or even blog about it for that matter. I know myself well enough that I knew I would either spend the day on the computer figuring out buttons and blogging, or quilting, but not both lol so I chose to quilt! Anyway better late than never..here's what I accomplished on Saturday: I got two sets of borders on two quilts from last year. The first was my first strip club quilt from Cozy Quilts. Crossed Path made with Sunshine by Moda:The second was a quilt I made from this book:the pattern is Sunny Lanes with the Fall Back in Time line also by Moda.
The next one is scheduled for March 18th and I will get my button and be a better participant then!
Saturday was also the first day of the San Diego Cruisin' Quilters our annual shop hop! Monday and Tuesday were spent driving all over the county to 15 different quilt shops. I behaved myself pretty good...Tomorrow we will do our last 4! I got my first peek at the new Mary Engelbreit fabric "Friends and Flowers" at our first stop in Fallbrook at The Quilter's Cottage--Here's Janine...modeling it? LOL!
They had charm packs and Jellyrolls and one fat quarter bundle which was tempting. I gave in to it and picked up a couple of charm packs and a jellyroll but I resisted the bundle and held out in hopes of finding yardage somewhere...and Tuesday that reserve paid off when I found the whole line in yardage at Rosie's who sells it at a 25% discount no less woohoo!!!
I'm planning on using it with this pattern:
from this book:
I was happy to find this panel (1/2 off!) that I saw at Christmas time on someone's blog and coveted it, but couldn't find it anywhere.Had to add to my Lakehouse collection
and I've got to use this soon before it becomes a 20 something yard collection like my Freshcut....which yes I actually bought 2 more that I didn't have yet!
And of course I can never resist shabby chic or "vintagey" stuff!
And lastly but not leastly :) Kathie asked a while back what was on our design wall...so here it is:
I'm a little over halfway done, I think I need about 32 more blocks. So I'm off to go get a few more done! Have a great week!
